Ferdinando Ronchese was born in the neighbouhood of Venice, from a family of plastic artists since two generation.He was the first to move in the music art beginning the accordion studies at the age of eight. But, at the rising of an back deformity,caused from the accordion practice,he was obliged to change instrument choosing Wurlitzer double keebord electronic organ (similar like Hammond organ) at twelve.
Since very young was invited as acordion
concertist to exibit himself on the opening of italian's singers shows like
Don Baky,Gianni Nazzaro,Peppino
di
Capri,Rita Pavaone,G.Morandi and so one playing classic standards.
Freddy, discovered the american soul and fusion music in the eightees
and attracted from All Jarreau,BB King, Marvin Gay,Check Mangione.Eumir
Deodato,Gino Vannelli
's sound began exploring that music side untill getting on the
funkyjazz and contemporary pure jazz on the 1997.
Founded on 2002 his first electric trio:
'The Wine and Roses' attending shows in Italy,France,Austria.Swizzland and
Slovenia, reaching to
invite as guests
some between the best european jazz players like: the guitarist
Alberto Negroni ( Joe Diorio's..Frank Zappa's..partner),drummers like: Massimo
Manzi,Enzo Carpentieri,
(Billy Coobham partner),Cesare Valbusa,( Alan Farrington partner),the
bassist Marc Abrams (Kenny Wheeler partner),the italian trumpetist
Fabrizio Bosso and
many others.
Freddy Ronchese is an istinctive swing-musician,
expressing his changing groove, in according with his momentaneus emotions that
run
besides the rithmic and
melodic contest. A hard and astonishing mixture of beepop,fastswing,latinfunky
and africanrythms, flowing in a certain emotion's storm of
the artist and achieved trough Zawinul's ancestral electronic
sounds ( with
the use of sinthethiser's
patches ) or simply on the gran-piano or on the Hammond.
His style is recognizable: strong and energic
but with nuances of sweet tones in an innate soulfulness.
On the sinthethysers performances, is clear the Weather Report's
influence on his compositions.
It's very creative his mood to go around between differents
rythmical ways on the same tune, on the exploration of the
most submerged
composer's inthimities,
with the more sincere spontaneity.
In this period,freddy is living in Brasil
(Rjo de Janeiro) working in his new project of featuring a new Cd with brasilian
musicians,where
will be explore
African,funky and jazz background's rythmical ensamble,
using, besides to the intruments, human choral and vocal's solos
always connected
with freddy's keabords
and sinthethysers.
